History

During Autumn 2008, the listed Swedish property company Kungsleden was seeking an advisor to assist in the sale of 50 per cent of their public portfolio Hemsö AB. The property team of SEB Enskilda and Lundberg & Partners were selected. In three months – at the height of the financial crisis – one of Sweden’s largest property transactions ever, was completed.

The two advisory firms, founded on property transactions respectively property related corporate finance, turned out to complement each other in what both teams found to be a unique way. The intense working effort involved in the Hemsö AB transaction united the teams and the successful result inspired the two to pursue plans for to a continued co-operation.

Hence, during spring 2009 discussions were initiated for an extended partnership. The discussions soon lead to ideas for a new company integrating Lundberg & Partners strengths (history, network and property transaction experience) with that of the SEB Enskilda property team (corporate finance advisory, equity capital markets and debt capital markets expertise) – thus, Pangea Property Partners was founded summer 2009 by the partners of Lundberg & Partners and six people from SEB Enskilda.
